Miami is popular for its beaches, art deco district and night life but I wanted to capture another side of the city more authentic, the cuban neighborhood.
I went to Calle Ocho, a street in the heart of Little Havana. I was amazed by the people I saw there, they look so different than the ones I am used to see in Brickell or South Beach.
Calle Ocho is an interesting mixture of tourists and elderly persons. Old people get together in the streets happily playing dominos, singing and smoking cigar...
The people I met there were very warm and willing to share their stories. One man even insisted to sing for me, and have me record him.
Although lots of people told me this neighborhood was dangerous I have to say I never felt unsafe among these lively people.
